Ring Sizing
How to Find Your Ring Size at Home
There are two simple methods to measure your ring size from home:
Method 1 — String or Paper Strip
- Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.
- Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring on.
- Mark where the paper or string overlaps.
- Measure the length in millimeters — this is your finger's circumference.
- Use the chart below to find your size.
Method 2 — Existing Ring
- Find a ring that already fits the intended finger comfortably.
- Measure the inner diameter of the ring in millimeters.
- Use the chart below to match your measurement to a size.
US Ring Size Chart
| US Size | Inner Diameter (mm) | Circumference (mm) |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 14.9 | 46.8 |
| 4.5 | 15.3 | 48.0 |
| 5 | 15.7 | 49.3 |
| 5.5 | 16.1 | 50.6 |
| 6 | 16.5 | 51.8 |
| 6.5 | 16.9 | 53.1 |
| 7 | 17.3 | 54.4 |
| 7.5 | 17.7 | 55.7 |
| 8 | 18.2 | 57.2 |
| 8.5 | 18.6 | 58.5 |
| 9 | 19.0 | 59.7 |
| 9.5 | 19.4 | 61.0 |
| 10 | 19.8 | 62.3 |
Sizing Tips
- Measure your finger at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.
- Avoid measuring when your hands are cold — fingers shrink in cooler temperatures.
- If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit.
- Wider bands tend to fit more snugly — consider sizing up half a size for bands wider than 6mm.
Important: Size Selection is Required
Because every Caruso Collections piece is made to order, your ring size must be selected at the time of purchase. Orders placed without a size cannot be processed. If you are unsure of your size, please use the guide above or contact us before placing your order — we're happy to help you find the right fit.
Ring Resizing
We understand that sizing isn't always exact — and we want you to love the way your piece feels. Resizing is available on select styles, subject to the following terms.
Eligible pieces: Rings with a solid gold shank may be resized up to one half size larger. This includes most solitaire, three-stone, and classic band styles.
Not eligible for resizing: Eternity bands, full pavé settings, and any ring where the design structure does not allow for safe alteration. If you are unsure whether your piece qualifies, please contact us before submitting a request.
Resizing fee: $300 flat — this includes all labor and insured return shipping. Resizing is handled outside of our standard checkout. Once your request is approved, you will receive a separate invoice payable via PayPal.
Request window: Resizing requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
Turnaround time: Please allow 4–6 weeks from the date we receive your piece for resizing to be completed and returned.
To begin a resizing request, please contact us with your order number, the piece you'd like resized, your current size, and your desired size. We will confirm eligibility and provide next steps.
Bracelet & Bangle Sizing
How to Measure Your Wrist
- Wrap a soft measuring tape or strip of paper around your wrist, just below the wrist bone.
- Note the measurement in inches or centimeters.
- Add approximately 0.5–1 inch (1.5–2.5 cm) for a comfortable fit, or 0.25 inch (0.6 cm) for a snug fit.
General Bracelet Size Guide
| Wrist Circumference | Recommended Bracelet Size |
|---|---|
| 5.5" – 6" (14–15 cm) | 6.5" bracelet |
| 6" – 6.5" (15–16.5 cm) | 7" bracelet |
| 6.5" – 7" (16.5–18 cm) | 7.5" bracelet |
| 7" – 7.5" (18–19 cm) | 8" bracelet |
For bangle bracelets, you will need to measure the widest part of your hand (across the knuckles) to ensure the bangle slides on comfortably. If you are between sizes, size up.
Necklace Length Guide
The length of a necklace determines where it rests on the body. Use this guide to choose the right length for your style and neckline.
| Length | Where It Falls | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 14" – 16" (Choker / Collar) | At or just below the collarbone | High necklines, minimalist looks |
| 18" (Princess) | Just below the collarbone | Most necklines — the most versatile length |
| 20" – 22" (Matinee) | Above the bust | Business attire, layering |
| 24" – 28" (Opera) | At or below the bust | V-necks, layered looks, statement styling |
| 30"+ (Rope) | Below the bust | Bohemian, dramatic, or wrapped styles |
If you are unsure which length suits your piece or your style, reach out to us — we're happy to guide you.
Earring Guide
Earring fit is largely a matter of personal style, but a few guidelines can help:
- Studs — universally flattering and suitable for all face shapes and occasions.
- Drop & dangle earrings — elongate the face and work beautifully with oval, round, and heart-shaped faces.
- Hoop earrings — consider the diameter in relation to your face. Smaller hoops (under 30mm) suit petite features; larger hoops make a bolder statement.
- Post back vs. lever back — lever backs offer more security for longer or heavier drop styles.
All Caruso Collections earrings are designed for standard pierced ears. If you have a specific earring back preference or a sensitivity to certain metals, please note it when placing your order or contact us directly.
